The support of promotion of the contemporaty music, especially created by Polish composers and performed by Polish musicians is the important element of our pro bono activity. Our main help invariably goes to those projects, which promote creativeness of the composers of so called ‘Generation ‘51’ (with emphasis for school of Katowice).
However, we are especialy proud for having some contribution in recording and publishing numerous albums with contemporary chamber music – mainly performed by The Silesian String Quartet. The end of this year was full of music events, which are supported by Pro Novum for many years not only by funds but by benevolence as well. These events were three festivals: 3rd International String Festival “George Enescu in Memoriam”, 22nd International Chamber Music Festival “The Silesian String Quartet and its Guests” and “Brand-New Music 2014” festival.
For a jubilee of 25 years of Pro Novum establishing a new CD entitled ‘3x4+8’ by Aleksander Nowak has been published. The CD includes, among others, ‘String Quartet No. 2. Little Commentary for the 25th Anniversary of Pro Novum”.
During the concert opening the new Chamber Hall of the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra, Ewa Trzeszczyńska, the representative of next generation of Pro Novum music lovers, received from Arkadiusz Kubica from Silesian String Quartet their recent CD entitled Szabelski-Górecki-Knapik "Mistrz i uczeń".

For a few years now we support Chamber Music Festival ‘The Silesian String Quartet and Its Guests’, which is the permanent point in the calendar of cultural events in Silesia.
Moreover, Pro Novum also supports the International String Festival, which is the individual project of first string player from The Silesian String Quartet Szymon Krzeszowiec. In the end of this year third edition of the Festival will take place with our financial participation.
In December 2013 we sponsored charity Christmas concert aimed at gaining funds for the wards of one of local foundations helping ill children.
In 2009 we started our cooperation with New Music Orchestra. The Company gave the financial support for the performances of the Orchestra during Warsaw Autumn, New Music Festival, Music Visions of Contemporary Everything and ReNewMusic and most recently – for a CD with Witold Lutoslawski pieces. We’ve been also the main sponsor of videoopera by Fausto Romitelli entitled ‘An Index of Metals’ in Szombierki CHP. Concert was a part of High Art Festival during ‘Industriada 2010’.
